Zoals alles is ook goedgelovigheid een manifestatie van BewustZijn. Like everything else, credulity is also a manifestation of Consciousness

Van binnen verander ik niet, maar wel aan de buitenkant, hoe kan dat nou. Ik ben toch geen twee dingen? “Jawel,” vertellen ze je dan, als je als jong kind met zo’n moeilijke vraag komt, “Jawel, je bent namelijk lichaam en geest.” In zekere zin hebben ze gelijk, als ze met ‘geest’ BewustZijn zouden bedoelen. Tenslotte kan dat wat voortkomt uit BewustZijn en verdwijnt in Bewustzijn, niet iets anders zijn dan dat waar het uit voortkomt. Maar met geest bedoelen ze meestal de psyche, dus denken en voelen. Lichaam, denken en voelen worden gezien in BewustZijn. Alles wat kan worden waargenomen kun je niet zijn. Het zijn slechts reflecties van wat je bent. Je bent dus niet het lichaam en ook niet de geest (de psyche). Je hebt geen ervaring van de geboorte en je kunt geen ervaring hebben van de dood. Een dood lichaam is altijd een object in het gewaarzijn van een ander. Maar wie of wat is die ander? Die ander is ook een reflectie van BewustZijn en via dat instrument is er een plaatje verschenen van een dood lichaam. BewustZijn is nooit geboren en kan nooit sterven. Jij kunt helemaal niet sterven want jij bent Bewustzijn, waarin geboorte en dood zich voortdurend in afspelen. “Niet te geloven! Echt?” “Ja echt!”

On the inside I do not change but I do change on the outside. But how is that possible? I am not two things? Oh yes, they will tell you, when you bring up such a difficult question as a young child.
Surely, you are body and soul. In a certain sense they are right if by “soul” they mean Consciousness. After all that which comes forth from Consciousness and disappears into Consciousness cannot be something other than that out of which it originates. But by soul they mostly mean the psyche, in other words: thinking and feeling. Body and thinking and feeling are seen in Consciousness. All that can be observed cannot be you, they are only reflections of what you are. So you are not the body and also not the soul (the psyche). You have no experience of your birth and you cannot have an experience of your death. A dead body is always an object in the awareness of someone else. But who or what is that someone else? That someone else is also a reflection of Consciousness and through that instrument a picture of a dead body appears. Consciousness was never born and can never die. You can not die since you are Consciousness in which birth and death take place continually. Incredible, yet true? Yes, really true.
